Neal Shaw -Wood carver

I began my working life as an Engineer and for the past 24 years I have been in the teaching profession. I have always had a love of wood; the look, the smell, and the feel. I have enjoyed working with wood for many years in my spare time. What was my hobby is now my full-time occupation. 

I create picture panels in relief, which are hand crafted to a high standard.  The majority of the timbers used are recycled hardwoods or off cuts from other artisans in the wood working trade.

 My inspiration stems from the Art Deco period and my work is influenced by artists such as Tamara De Lempicka, Jean Dunand, and Rene Lalique, to name but a few.
